About this biologic
Cells derived from donated human umbilical cord blood, offered in two cell counts — 100 million and 50 million — for provider-directed protocols where higher nucleated cell dosing is wanted. Cord blood is collected from the umbilical vein following delivery, then processed and cryopreserved under donor screening and infectious disease testing requirements. Vial volume is estimated at 4.5–5 mL and remains pending final confirmation. Unlike the other items in this range, viable cord blood is conventionally held in liquid nitrogen rather than at −80 °C; confirm the storage specification with the supplier and follow the supplied thawing protocol exactly, as cord blood viability is sensitive to thaw handling.
